Usually, during the rainy days I would falter at the thought of riding my bike. True enough, one shiny strip of road combined with some motor oil and I would be skidding across the road - not that it would matter, I was already dead. Yes, being already deceased and "reborn" would have to mean I was a Vampire, which I was. The label I do not take great pride in sharing with other's knowledge I must admit. But, on the occasion of a crash, I usually come out with a few scratches and bruises, sometimes gracious amounts of dark maroon blood, but it soon vanishes within the span of two weeks. I do remember a certain crash a few months back, where the crash was so severe I had to leave town and let others believe I had died. I didn't mind, I didn't have many friends so moving from place to place was easy for someone like me. I tend to not get attached to anything, which is easier than it sounds. I am a detached girl and certainly do not mind it in the least.[/color]
I, sighed at the sight of a gorgeous white street bike, titled against the curb, visible to other drivers along the street parking. I had to ride it and I knew it. Without so much as another blink, leather gloves from inside my jacket were pulled over my petite, yet powerful palms. Strapping the velcro into place I walked towards the magnificent piece of metal, voids glittering mysteriously against the backdrop of fog and rain. Some smog was beginning to settle in the atmosphere and I choked against the toxic fumes before reaching for my helmet which was propped against the bike's leather seat. Leaning against the metal hunk, I casually flicked my long strands of brunette tressels towards my backside and pulled a similar white and black helmet over my skull. Chin strap was tugged to my liking, pants comfortably clinging to my hips and my shoulder-blades tall and regal. I was ready to tear up some asphalt.
If, someone - mortal - was ever to ride with me, they'd probably freak. I was a maniac; swerving in and out of traffic, changing lanes suddenly and usually cruising through traffic on one wheel. I had been riding since I was just a young thing and it was a passion no amount of time had been able to steal away from me just yet. I smirked, lower appendage kicking against the kick-start as I began to ready the bike. Once the motor rolled to life I had to grin, silently pulling my visor down into its clicking place. The engine purred like a dream and I incautiously screamed out onto the highway, the back-tire squealing with the immense force I asked out of it. Strands of brown hair flicked against my spine, though I didn't even realize it. I was so keen on allowing my motor to run it its limits when the light changed from go green to "stop red." I growled under my breath as I slammed onto the breaks, hot steam rolling off the rubber tires as I did so. Things like this pissed me off.
Time, was beginning to catch up - though I had all the time in the world. Grunting I signaled and hastily pulled into a side parking slot near a cute little park. I could probably get some food here. Voids darted silently over the landscape and sparkling maroon visionnaries slitted in disappointment. I would have to wait until later to feed. Appendage swung over the powerful white bike and I landed on the curb, beginning to pull of my helmet. Strands of brunette hair wisped in the slight wind and dying rain. My leather coat and gloves were soaked but the adrenaline from riding my beast was still fresh and irresistible. With my helmet under one arm, I began to walk towards the park, my hopes falling considerably low.
